About BlissRADIUS™ author, history and development
BlissRADIUS™ is result of 5 year experience in RADIUS software development by its author, Branimir Milosavljević. Work on it started in July 2007.
For many years before that, Branimir worked in Internet Service Provider company near Belgrade, Serbia. During that period, he solely developed RADIUS accounting & billing system based on Open Source technologies, utilizing PHP, Python, MySQL database and Free RADIUS on Linux platform. Later on, because of need for more customized software, he wrote entirely new RADIUS component replacing Free RADIUS.
As business grew and system load as well, deficiencies of such system started to show. One of the biggest problem was great diversity and number of packages needed for system to work. Installation and customization of separate software dependencies, complicated maintenance and debug of problems in such environment was very hard. Not to mention, system requirements in CPU power and RAM constantly grew. System was becoming slow and unstable.
Second problem that plagued system were desires of company management that wanted software that can do anything and everything, ultimately turning it into inefficient bloatware prone to bugs, that could do lot of things but none of them good enough to be useful.
Not being able to find compromise with management, Branimir decided to quit his job. He started work on new commercial software without those two main deficiencies and with simplicity, enhanced performance and flexibility in mind.
In the meantime, Branimir started to work in one other ISP company in Belgrade, which was more than happy to accept and migrate to BlissRADIUS™ as its billing software once it is ready.
After months of testing BlissRADIUS™ is put into service. Version 1.00 was released on May 16th 2008 and replaced old system at Branimirs current place of work.

1.11 brings new features that will help debug and track errors. Upgrade is optional as there are no bugfixes in this version.

1.10 is out with some changes and minimal bugfixes.

Manual update. New sections: 'Upgrading' and 'NAS setup'.

A new critical bug found and fixed in 1.09. Please upgrade.

Some new found bugs have been fixed and security improvements are made
in new version 1.08. It is recommended for you to upgrade.

No new features are planned for next month and bug list is empty.
Work is underway to improve system extensibility and configureability.

1.07 is finaly out. It does brings some new features along with refactored engine. Check the changelog.

Code refactoring is under way.
Next version will bring only minor if any new functionality.

1.06 is out. Main new feature is user generator.
You can create batches of new users with random or ordered usernames,
random passwords, limits etc. and you can export username & password data to text file.

1.05 is out and brings minor bug fixes, lots of tweaks and mass mail sending.

Version 1.04 is released. It brings fixes for some critical bugs and adds lot of new features.
There are some incompatible changes with SQL remote & portal priviledges from previous version. Read changelog and manual.

First upgrade is out - 1.01 that fixes found problems and adds minor features.

Big moment for BlissRADIUS™ - version 1.00 is released. It is stable, ready for production environment and put into service.
